What it does
Swap the paper log books, spreadsheets and separate booking system for one place that reminds you what's due and keeps proof that it's done.
Fire alarm tests, emergency lights, extinguishers, gas and electrics. Log a test in one tap and get reminded before anything is due.
Take requests, invoices and deposits, set up weekly hires, and sync with Google Calendar so you never double-book.
Hirers get a short safety briefing by text, upload their insurance and sign online. No app for them, no chasing for you.
Plain-English plans written from your answers, a 10-minute course for staff and volunteers, and help telling the regulator.
Photograph your existing paperwork and we read the dates for you. Set up in an afternoon, not a weekend.
Roles for chairs, bookings secretaries and keyholders, and a one-tap handover when volunteers change. Phone or laptop.
How it works
No training, no jargon. If you can send a text, you can use VenueSorted.
Tell us about your building, rooms and how it's used. We work out which checks, licences and laws apply to you.
Photograph your certificates and we fill in the dates. Your checklist and reminders are ready straight away.
Get a nudge before anything is due, take bookings, and download a proof pack whenever someone asks.
Made for:
Martyn's Law
The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, known as Martyn's Law, asks venues to be ready to keep people safe if an attack happened. For most small venues that means written plans and trained people, not security guards or building work.
VenueSorted works out whether it applies to you, writes your plans in plain English, trains your team and keeps the proof.
When the law is expected to come into force.
People present at once puts a venue in the standard tier: written procedures and staff training.
The enhanced tier, with extra duties.
The law won't apply, but VenueSorted still keeps every other check and booking sorted.
This is a summary, not legal advice. Official guidance is on GOV.UK and ProtectUK.

It's based on how many people could be on your premises at the same time. Venues expecting 200 to 799 people are in the standard tier, and 800 or more in the enhanced tier. Some places, such as places of worship, stay in the standard tier whatever their size. VenueSorted asks a few simple questions to give you a likely answer, and we recommend checking the official guidance if you're unsure.
No. VenueSorted is designed for volunteers and busy owners. Everything is in plain English, works on a phone or a laptop, and hirers don't need an app at all.
Launch pricing will be a simple monthly or yearly fee per venue, with group pricing for dioceses, pub companies and councils. People on the waitlist will hear first and get the launch price.
That's the aim. VenueSorted handles requests, invoices, deposits and regular weekly hires, and can sync with Google Calendar and other calendars while you switch over.
No. VenueSorted helps you organise your checks, plans and records, but your venue remains responsible for its own safety and for meeting the law. For complex situations, speak to a fire safety professional or adviser.
Yes. Fire safety rules differ across the UK, so your checks change depending on where your venue is. Martyn's Law applies across the whole UK.
